90 – River Lugg – Stoke Prior

Brief description of fishery:

Farm Shallow in places but extremely deep in others. Can be weedy in summer and fishes better in autumn and winter. Main species: Chub, dace, roach, pike, barbel. With the occasional trout and grayling. Trout Season 3rd March to 25th October. Coarse season 16th June to 15th March.
Accessibility average.
Key Points: Only access to the river is through the car park and over the stile. Keep to the hedgerows. All trout and grayling to be returned. Park so as not to cause obstruction. Take care when wading.

Access & Parking

Please note that Members CANNOT be too strongly warned that the only access is through the car park and over the stile. This must be adhered to at ALL times. Members must follow the hedgerow to the River bank. The venue consists of left bank 1200yds. The venue can be accessed via the A44 or B4361 2 miles from Leominster or via Stoke Prior. River access is from the car park alongside Stone Farm OS reference SO 516560. The car park entrance track is approximately 167yds above Stone Farm
