81 – River Ithon and Aran – Penybont

Brief description of fishery:

A small River with a mixture of shallows and deeper holes. This stretch is suitable for fly fishing all year round. Once mid September arrives, standard coarse fishing tactics come into their own, until then it remains fly only.

Barbless hooks. All Trout and Grayling to be returned. Maggots may be used on or between 15th September to 14th March. Trout and grayling. Trout Season 3rd March to 25th October

Access & Parking

Proceed towards Ryader on the A44. A half mile after crossing the Ithon, take the first turning to the right. Take the right fork at the Meeting House to the river and cross the river bridge. Entrance to Rabber Farm and the Club water through gate on the right. Access reference for the gate to Rabber Farm is SO 115655. Park so as not to cause obstruction.
