63 – Ledwyche Brook – Poughnhill Farm

Brief description of fishery:

Barbless hooks only, all trout to be returned.
This fishery is open to members only during the trout season. Fly fishing only. No guest tickets.
The venue consists of left bank approximately 1252yds from the water pipe bridge to the road bridge, broken by the farm. Right bank 632yds from below the weir to the road bridge.
This is a small tributary of the Teme and consists of a mixture of shallow runs and deeper pools. The brook is narrow and tree lined requiring accurate casting. Be aware of power lines at the top of this fishery. Take care when wading.
Main species: Brown trout. Some grayling.
Trout season 18th March to 7th October.
Accessibility average.
Key Points: Barbless hooks, all trout and grayling to be returned. Parking Permit must be displayed at this venue. No parking allowed on the drive. Take care when leaving the lower car park. Some deep holes, take care when wading. Beware of overhead power lines. Fly fishing only. NO guest tickets.

Access & Parking

There is one area for parking FOUR cars (with access) approximately 150m from the junction with the Caynham Road OS
reference SO 541730. Be careful entering and exiting the car park, the road is busy. There are a further three points for access by foot. Near the top of the fishery is the drive leading to Poughnhill Farm.
There is parking for two cars at the rear of the farm. Parking Permit must be displayed at this venue.  There is no parking
allowed on the drive. This may be used for access upstream of the farm. OS reference SO 539735. There is no access downstream from this point. Approximately 160m below the drive there is a gate in the hedge. Access at this point may be difficult due to the hedge overlapping the gate. OS reference SO 540734.
