Fishing from the towpath only. No fishing within 25 yards of locks or bridges. No fishing within 30 yards of power lines.

Boat traffic heavy from early may to late September.

Main species: Gudgeon, roach, perch, bream, eel, pike and zander. Occasional carp.

UNHOOKING MATS MUST BE USED FOR LARGE FISH.

Accessibility good.

Key Points: No fishing within 25 yards of the locks. No fishing within 30 yards of power lines. Boat traffic heavy during summer. Some good sized carp and zander have been caught at this venue. No parking excepting in the specified places. Park so as not to cause obstruction.

Access & Parking

At Henley in Arden turn left onto the A4189. Access at Bridge 48 at the top of the stretch, room for two cars. SP 174654. Or straight through Henley in Arden and through Wootton Wawen A3400, turning left into Pettiford Lane. There are No Parking signs on the left as you turn into the lane. Carry on 875yds and there is parking for four cars on the right SP 160635. Walk 220yds down the bridle path to the canal at bridge 51. The roads to bridges 50 and 53 are private. There is no parking allowed along these roads.
