Weirwood Resevoir

Brief description of fishery:

This wonderful Water has been available since December 2015.
With depths to just over 30ft when full, this water provides a great opportunity to try a variation of fishing techniques. The deep water provides great slider fishing from the boats and equally as good feeder fishing from the banks. There are some very large wild  Carp which fight hard and run like a train when hooked on feeder tactics. The Carp fishing is specifically syndicate only where there is a waiting list and you would need to contact the reservoir  fishing office for details.
Bream go well into double figures and Fish have been caught to 16lb. There are also quality Roach, Rudd and Hybrids as well as huge Perch to over 5lb which have been recorded. Society members have had Perch to 3lb 10oz. There are also some very good Pike to well over 20lb and can be caught from boats or the bank. Check with the reservoir office for when predator fishing starts as it is gauged by the water temperature.
