About Us

South Wales Fishing Society is a community-driven organization dedicated to promoting the sport, and conservation of fishing in the stunning landscapes of South Wales. Established in 2020, our club has flourished into a vibrant hub for anglers of all skill levels, from novice enthusiasts to seasoned experts.

Our mission is to foster a deep appreciation for the rich aquatic ecosystems of South Wales while encouraging sustainable fishing practices that ensure the health and longevity of our rivers, lakes, and coastal waters. Through education, outreach, and hands-on conservation efforts, we strive to safeguard the natural habitats that sustain our beloved pastime for generations to come.

Join us on our journey to explore, preserve, and celebrate the beauty of fishing in South Wales. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just dipping your toes into the world of fishing, you’ll find a warm welcome and a wealth of resources within our vibrant fishing community.

Club history

We are a community-driven organization led by passionate anglers committed to revitalizing neglected lakes and enhancing their ecological vitality. Celebrating our fourth anniversary, we manage four lakes through a combination of seasonal and day ticket arrangements. Our diligent efforts have focused particularly on Clyne Pond and The Pluck Lake, where extensive work, including constructing pegs, signage installation, and stock evaluation, has been undertaken to improve angling experiences. Additionally, we’ve initiated stocking programs across three of our lakes. Recently, we’ve assumed stewardship of Lower Lliw Reservoir, a venue gaining popularity due to its diverse array of fish species available for angling pursuits.
