Brief description of fishery:

The New Barge Lake is a 5 acre gravel pit, ranging from 2-6 foot in depth. There are many gravel bars dotted around the lake. Five islands are within this lake, four of them are towards the centre of the lake with a gravel plateau between them at a depth of 2 foot. There are also two mature Norfolk reed beds and patches of pink and white lily pads, again this lake is also spring fed with a high water quality. The habitat and good quality water not forgetting the scenery all go together to make this lake not just beautiful to the eye, but also beautiful conditions to grow on our fish, some of our carp putting on 5lbs in weight every year. The New Barge Lake holds such fish as follows. Carp to 29lbs, Tench to 10lbs, Rudd and Roach to 1lbs. Perch to 3.5lbs and Pike to 20lbs.
