Every month or two a working party takes place at one of our club waters. These are enjoyable social sessions, usually (but not always) held on a Saturday morning. They give members a chance to meet other members and to chat to them about how our waters have been fishing. They also give members a chance to make a real contribution to the management of our club waters.
Activities at working parties include litter picking, installing fish habitat enhancements, putting out fish predator protection equipments, maintaining swim access paths/platforms, removing fallen trees, maintaining paths vehicle tracks and car parking areas, removing invasive plants (Himalayan balsam, Japanese knotweed, giant hogweed) and removing excessive growth of water weeds and lilies.
At some working parties free refreshments and food are provided and we stand/sit around chatting and putting the world to rights!
Members can get involved by contacting the club secretary.
