Spinnaker Lake

Brief description of fishery:

This 65-acre gravel pit is the Club’s specimen carp water. With a lower stocking ratio for the water’s size those present have grown to over 50lb. Also worth targeting are specimen tench, bream, roach and pike.

The fish are in mint condition and have provided some terrific sport for members. This is far from being an easy water but the rewards are fantastic for those able to put the time and effort in. The depths vary, but generally you will find fourteen feet in most swims. Established tree lined banks provide plenty of cover and with a twelve ticket per night limit, there is plenty of water to fish.

This water is shared with the sailing club with whom a good relationship has developed over recent years. We would ask members to bear in mind that the areas marked on the map as out of bounds mean just that.
