The River Kenn is a very picturesque venue and supports numerous species of wild life as well as fish. The river is easily accessible from a number of points and the banks and pegs are well maintained.
There is a natural head of Bream up to 9lbs, Tench to 7lbs and quality roach which have been caught approaching 3lbs. Perch up to 4lbs and pike well into double figures.
The depth in the summer is approximately 6 to 11 foot (varying between pegs and location) but from December to March the level is dropped to around 4 foot to aid flood prevention by the Environment Agency.
During the winter period we have seen some tremendous catches of Bream (match record in 2024 was 110lbs, 15 fish), Roach (20lb plus bags) and Tench (up to 13 in a session during February).
All methods and baits work.
Fishing is only permitted between 16th June to 14th March inclusive.

Limited parking along Davis Lane aside the junction of Kenn Moor Road and Nailsea Wall. Access is through a farm gate which leads to a concrete boat ramp, fishing is left-hand bank downstream. - Manmoor Lane
Park on the bridge with care. Access is via a style up or downstream. - Davis Lane (M5 Northbound)
Near M5 motorway (northbound carriageway). Park by gate just above the motorway or just inside Clevedon Town Football Club. Access is over the gate or fence. - Davis Lane (M5 Southbound)
Near M5 Motorway (southbound carriageway). Park in small lay-by and go over the style through a small coppice then over another style. - Kenn Road
Park in lay-by on the Clevedon side of the bridge and go through gates to access up or downstream. - Strode Road
Park either side of the bridge in Strode Road and walk up or downstream through gates. Parking is also available in Mill Cross or Yeolands Drive.
